Phineas and the Lonely Leaves

Based out of Peekskill, Phineas and the Lonely Leaves have a driving rock force coupled with Americana-indie-folk-swing.  Currently gigging in N.Y.C. and throughout Westchester, Phineas and the Lonely Leaves is a band you do not want to miss.  This is their debut performance at WDFH!

Tim Feeney – lead vocals, guitar

Mike Spinelli – electric guitar, vocals

Tim Cavanagh – bass

Paul Slater – keyboards, vocals

Larry Ohlmann – drums

Giant Cicada

Giant Cicada began as an extension of the partnership of the upright bass/vocal duo Jon Burr and Lynn Stein, playing the essence of song and minimalist arrangements.  With the addition of violin, guitar, cajon drum, and bowed upright bass, the duo ventured farther down the paths of pop, dance, world, and jazz and developed a vibrant new sound.  Some of these fine people have already performed at WDFH as the Jon Burr Trio and the Lynn Stein Trio.

Jon Burr – upright bass

Jonathan Russell – violin

John Hart – guitar

Carlos “Go-Go” Gomez – percussion

Nick Russo – guitars

Lynn Stein – vocals

Hope Machine

Born at a 2003 Woody Guthrie hootenanny, Hope Machine is named after a Woody quote: “About all a human being is, anyway, is a hoping machine.”  Their music is ever-evolving but always carries a message of hope, peace, and freedom.  Hope Machine is an “official Program” of the Woody Guthrie Foundation, and returns to WDFH after a performance earlier this year.

Fred Gillen, Jr. – vocals, harmonica

Steve Kirkman – guitar

and one never knows who might be joining them!

Hope Machine are appearing as part of their yearlong tribute to Woody.  Join us for the Westchester show of their “Woody Guthrie 100th Birthday Tour!”
