WDFH is seeking people to help build a development (fundraising) department. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are working to develop funding through various channels, including:
We are initially seeking people for two specific positions — people with significant development experience and commission-based underwriting account representatives — though we would love to talk with anyone who has fundraising experience. Westchester Public Radio seeks to build new Development Department WDFH 90.3 FM, Westchester Public Radio, broadcasts an eclectic freeform mix of great music, including rock, folk, blues, and jazz. We regularly feature in-studio performances by lower Hudson Valley performers. We also broadcast locally hosted public affairs programs and progressive, social-justice- oriented programming from other sources. WDFH's FM broadcast signal reaches a potential audience of 400,000 in central and northern Westchester, eastern Rockland, and far western Connecticut. WDFH can also be heard worldwide through its website. The station also provides a variety of music and public affairs podcasts and is affiliated with the Pacifica Radio Network. Despite a decades-long history, WDFH is functionally a startup, having just recently secured a viable signal and a studio. Entirely nonprofit and volunteer-operated, WDFH needs your development or sales talents and skills to keep local public radio alive in the lower Hudson valley. WDFH is owned and operated by Hudson Valley Community Radio, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Immediate Openings for a Development Team: WDFH seeks at least two professionals to start building our Development Department: Underwriting Account Representatives and a Development Director. Position: Development Director Volunteer to start; opportunity for growth dependent on ability to generate income. Our need
